These cottages below, built in the 1890s on Sabin Point, became known as “The Colony.” After this area became part of the Fair Haven Beach State Park, the cottages were moved or torn down.
In 1913, Edna Williams took this black and white photo looking north from the Sterling Creek bridge on Old State Road. One hundred years later, the color image is barely recognizable.
